About Us

Objectives

The CPAWS Northern Alberta Chapter Wilderness Education Team aspires to provide boreal forest education to students and teachers in the Northern Alberta region and across Northern Alberta. Our goal is to offer curriculum-integrated classroom presentations in the Northern Alberta region, as well as education kits for teachers across Northern Alberta starting soon. We strive to increase awareness of issues affecting the boreal forest and to help teachers address these issues in their classrooms. For a description of our available programs, please visit the “For Teachers” section of this site.

The Team

The Wilderness Education Team is composed of a group of dedicated volunteers with an interest in helping children recognize a personal connection with nature. Our team is always looking for new volunteers and ideas. If you are interested in getting involved with the education team, please email educationnab@cpaws.org
